Trickshots 2006
Congratulations to Wayne Smith on capturing the 2006 National Trick shot championships at Gangsters Pool Club, Swindon. Smith produced a near faultless display to claim the top prize scoring one of the highest scores in the events history registering a massive 72/80 and putting the pressure on the rest of the competitors. With Wayne up first and scoring so highly the rest where always going to find it tough, but they all gave it their best and performed exceptionally well. Everyone in attendance thought that the standard of the entrants was very high, with excellent efforts from Bristol duo Ben Flack and Simon Doyle. Wayne’s closest challenge came from a former two time winner of the event Chris Melling, once again he didn’t disappoint and came very close with an excellent score of 70. Before proceedings got under way there was a minutes silence held for one the true legends of the game and former winner of the event Leo ‘The Hat’ McMakin who sadly passed away earlier this year.
